I have a NAD integrated stereo amp, cambridge audio CD player and BandW speakers. A nice little set up that i like. I wan to stream (wi-fi or bluetooth) my digital music (mainly mp3) through my NAD amp and speakers.

The cambridge audio stream magic looks great, but is too expensive. So would this work:

QED uPlay streamer connected to my amp.

NAS Synology DS115J to store all my mp3s. I have a home wireless network. Connect the NAS and QED streamer to the network, then play files from the NAS through the QED uPlay through my NAD amp and BandW speakers

The QED uPlay looks ok and gets ok reviews, is there anything with better sound for a reasonable price? Marantz MCR510?

Cheers

Looks like Google have solved the problem:

https://www.google.com/intl/en_uk/chromecast/?utm_source=chromecast.com

Connect the chromcast audio to speakers (via 3.5mm to RCA cable and stereo amp), use Spotify (on my phone/tablet and cast to speakers.

£30 seems like a bargain.

do we need to spell out that streaming can refer both to streaming from the international using Spotify, etc. and streaming of files from a PC or NAS, etc. on the user's home network without an internet connection? Why is there always someone who talks about streaming services when the OP specifically talks about streaming his own files stored on his own device?
