Stream movies from PC to HD-TV

Firstly, apologises if this is the wrong forum.

I wonder if anyone could help - I would like to stream movies from one of the PC's in the house onto one of the HD TV's in the house.

We have wireless and Internet to all machines but do not know how to do this. We also have a xbox360 available on one of the TV's if that is any help.

Thoughts / Advice appreciated.

Investigate the Apple TV box. Stores and streams wirelessly.

Somebody else can correct me if I'm wrong, but the other obvious candidate (the Slingbox Pro) scales down to SD, whereas the Apple can handle HD content?

You can stream through your Xbox. You need to have WIndows Media Player 11 installed and your videos need to be stored within your library here. From what I can see, this webpage gives a pretty good overview on how to get this working.
