STR-DA5400ES User Review - Power Cable and Switching off

Can someone shed some light on the user review for the STR-DA5400ES , the what hifi review was that the product was excellent, iand i was ready to go and purchase it. now i am in more than two minds , and am looking for a consensus , has anyone had the same problem with the power cable and the machine switching off, Or have there been many that are ok and these are problems with a particular batch , thanks Dann

What a load of rubbish! One faulty unit and he cries "DO NOT BUY A SONY"!! For the record, my 3400es is superb and I can only imagine the 5400es being amazing.

No issue with ours or the ones we have supplied. This really is a very good amp and partnered with the BDP5000es offers a stunning combination.
