SPYDERTV Calibration

Hi After a recommendation on the What hifi website, I purchased the SPYDERTV calibration tool / toy 🙂

I was after some advise on what I should set the backlight on my Toshiba 32WLT66, as there is no test for backlight. After running the test it recommended that I up the contrast to 95 on my tv, which I thought was a little high and was wondering if the backlight level which is currently set to 30 would make a difference to this ?

Hehe, why did you buy it if you're questioning it's settings ?

I would just go onto another forum and have a quick search, i know on a forum i inhabit there's a very nice thread of settings for my Sony 40W3000.

Its not so much that I am questioning its settings, more to check that I performing the calibration correctly to get the optimum settings. I noticed when it was doing the contrast calibration that it had to do one of the tests twice and I just thought that a contrast of 95 (out of 100) maybe a little high and due to a problem when I calibrated. Also there is no test for lcd backlight.

As i say, search other forums, there's bound to be plenty of posts with settings on.
