While listening to a mono track on spotify, i noticed the left channel to be higher than the right, So further investigation was called for. So i ripped a track from Phil Collins The Hits, Track 4 You Can't Hurry Love. This was then put into Audacity and showed me that it was -2db down from 0, on both channels. I then recorded the same track from Spotify of the Hits Album. and found it recorded it at 0db on both channels, but was clipping. After a lot of hours messing i have found that if i reduce my master volume settings. Right channel 95, Left channel 92, Phil Collins now records at -2db, and the original mono track, which was Beach Boys, Surfin' USA now is level. Any thoughts please, as i am only a novice.

Sorry about my mistake, but the right channel should have said 98. I think Spotify is 0.2db out on the right channel and 1.1db out on the left channel.
