Spotify Remoteless: how did I live so long without this app??

So now I can control my Spotify app on my Mac Mini from the comfort of my armchair (or even anywhere else in the house) and thumb through my albums and playlists, all easily seen on my iPhone's screen.

Brilliant.

So brilliant in fact that I'd suggest Spotify has missed a trick by not making an official controller app. (Or have they?)

I tried it ages ago and it barely functioned. Is it better now then?

Funny you should mention that...

After I'd bought it (post-purchase research is my speciality...), I did a bit of googling and found lots of complaints from people who claimed it wasn't working properly with their playlists, or wasn't even reading them at all. Some said it was little more than a glorified transport control.

Yet here tonight it's worked absolutely spot on (no pun intended). I couldn't believe how well it all integrated with hardly any setting-up at all, above and beyond installing the Helper app on the Mac and the Remoteless app on the iPhone. All my playlists and albums appeared, I could scroll through and select anything I wanted, and even search for new music.

I tried spotimote on android, and it sent my PC into a bit of flip so had to uninstall. Is this different / works for android?
