Speakers to go with marantz CD6004 & Amp PM6004

about to buy budget kit above as award winners of 2011 budget kit, but what floor standing speakers ?

considering the monitor audio BX5's on a budget but may stretch to the monitor audio silver RX6's...so those out there with the experience

what would you recommend ? I also use sonos so will contact the kit to the sonos connect to have this working with the other kit if i wish

The best advice I can give is to audition various speakers and decide which ones 'do it' for you and your musical tastes.

10x better with the marantz compo. Rx sounded very clinical...almost dead...thin?....anyway something was missing.....no excitment!

Not with the right amp and source. Any make or brand can sound dead or thin if poorly partnered.

Try Tannoy DC Tower 6, I did a short demo and it was great of course Marantz pm 8003 is slightly better but for the money it is great.
