speakers for sony DA1200ES

Nearly finished my setup but im stuck on speakers. I bought my reciever from a sony center and the guy advised me to get sonys own SA-VE835ED 5.1 surround kit. Is he just trying to get another buy out of me or is this a good kit to go for??? He did say its been out for a few years now but its still a v good peice of kit to get. I was also considering monitor audio BR5's but im open 2 suggestions. Any help is appreicated, thanks Rick

Sony salesman in recommending Sony kit shocker....

What's your budget, Rick? And i'm assuming you're happy with a full-size package if the (excellent) BR5 package is on your list?

Hi, so i take it the sales chap was just trying to get another purchase out of me, lol. I'll probably go to around the £1500 mark for a full kit. Is this enough to get decent kit??? I've only had the reciever 2days and was so chuffed with how it sounded i'll probably upgrade to 5200 or 5300 at a later stage. Im after a kit that sounds good with both movies and music. many thanx, Rick
