As can be seen from my kit list I have an Onkyo CD/DAB unit which is great. It is currently running through the speakers that where left behind with a Aiwa system when I moved into our house just over 2 yrs ago (I binned the system). The speakers are on wall mounts at the moment at the height of the window in the front room and don't sound that bad, but I now want something better. My music taste is varied but mainly rock music via planetrock.com or cd's. Budget is around £150 maybe a bit more or less if I get the right sound. Advice would be very much appreciated, thanks again.

Hello.

Well from what i've been told is that onkyo are true sounding amps so may be good to get some speakers that are warm, but depends on your prefernce really..

Are you considering putting these new speakers on your current mounts or stands?

If its mounts then i would look at q acoustic 2020's (around £130) or tannoy f1 (around £99).

If you can do speaker stands (alot of people say they are better) then i would look at the wharfedale 9.1's.

If you can demo some, that would the best way to choose.
