Speaker stands

A mate of mine needs speaker stands taller than 62cm, which rules out most! Any suggestions? Best I can find is Atacama Nexus 10i, he has a max budget of a ton.

Atacama Audio 'Nexus' range is 70cm for £80.00. Or there are the Atacama 70cm SL700 - they're £115.00 in a sale at tvstands.co.uk. They look good.

Is he tall or something?

He tells me they are tucked behind the arm of the sofa which is 62cm high so needs them above that.

How about just sticking a couple of bits of granite under the stands? Raises the height and would decouple on the process.

Funnily enough that is what I've advised with a pair of Super dreadnoughts 2nd hand.
