Hi, listed below is my current hi-fi set up. I do enjoy the voicing of the Tannoy speakers but feel that it is time to replace them. Considering my amp, cd player etc what floorstanders would you recommend I audition ?

Perhaps a second hand pair a couple of years old would be worth considering ?

I listen to a wide range of music - anything from trance to classical.

Arcam A75+ AMP

Marantz CD6000 OSE KI Signature player

Tannoy R2 speakers

Van Den Hul The First Ultimate interconnect

Chord Rumour 4 Bi-wire speaker cable

I have just read the review for the KEF IQ5SE speakers. Perhaps these would fit into my system ?

I hope someone, the what hi fi team, could point me in the right direction.

Thanks

JohnDuncan:You sure? I loved my R2s and would suggest you keep them and look at replacing the amp, which is less good (IMO).

I agree (gawd, I'll never live this one down!). The A75 was a bit of um. . . a duffo, sonically, an over groomed A70. . .

Clearly you like Arcam (as I do) look at something along the lines of A80 or A85. These amps have more urgency and sound far more convincing. Both can be picked up for around £200.

Well, two surprising replies with the same opinion.

I did consider changing the amp to the A85 a couple of years ago but it was a little expensive then......now more affordable.

Thanks
