Sound delay on front L-R when I have added stereo amp.

I have added my old Audiolab 8000A to my existing Denon 2310 and Monitor Audio Radius HD speakers to drive my front speakers for music listening. However now when I watch a movie there is a synchronisation problem with the left and right channels. The sound is delayed in comparison to screen action and centre channel. I have the Denons L & R pre-outs connected to the CD audio input of the 8000A, then the 8000A driving the speakers.

I have tried increasing the distance setting in the amplifier to make the sound happen earlier but ran out of adjustment, before the sound synchronised.

Any ideas?

Stupid question time, but you mean the Front L&R connections from the 7.1 section and NOT the Zone 2 L&R output don't you?

Yes, I have them connected to the 7.1 section. I also have my sub connected to the same section.
