Sony STR-DN1040 and B&W MT-30?

I'm very interested in the new Sony STR-DN1040 based on the reviews in What Hi-Fi. I need to upgrade my old Denon 2310, and the Sony seems like a great candidate as it has dual HDMI outputs (for my new projector and TV), and the price is good.

A quick question for the forum: has anyone tried it with the B&W MT-30 speakers? I'm interested in how it sounds with the M-1 speakers and PV1 sub.

Hi Dialogue,

I listened to the previous Sony amp at the Bristol hi fi show running a full 5.1 b&w floorstanding system, it was brilliant, and it was one of the cheaper amps on display at the show. I cant comment on how it will sound with the M-1 speakers and PV1 subwoofer but I do know that the PV1 is on my 'wish list' :cheers:

Thanks audiodarkness. I love the PV1 - sounds great and looks very cool. Even my wife likes it, and you don't often hear that with subwoofers!

Has anyone else tried the SONY STR-DN1040 with the MT-30 or the newer MT series?
