Sony KDL40V3000 or PanasonicTH42PZ70?

I'm on the verge of getting a new high def telly and have narrowed it down to one of these 2 models. My criteria were

(1) Available for under a grand,

(2) Full high def (future proofed?),

(3) Good with SD through a Sky + box (which will be what it's used for the most) - although plan to get Sky HD

(4) Good for PS3 gaming and the occasional DVD or Blue-Ray movie.

I'm erring towards the Panasonic (given the majority SD viewing) but would welcome any thoughts? Any plans to review the Sony in What Hi-Fi (I know the Pany is already highly rated)?

If it helps at all, the Sony is pretty much comparable to the old W2000 but with the newer 10-bit panel (as found in W3000 and X3000/3500).
