Hi there, first time posting so will explain my situation..

I bought a Panasonic 37LZD800 just before Christmas and quickly noticed an issue with the sound, it was effecting all inputs, digital TV, Sky and more importantly Blu-rays, I can only describe it as a static hiss which completely ruined the set for me. My dealer was fine with it and exchanged it for another which did exactly the same thing..

So I am now back to the drawing board and have narrowed it down to a choice between the Sony 40W4500 and the Pioneer KRL 37V. Could anyone with a good knowledge of these sets advise me on which way to go. I use the TV mainly for standard def Sky viewing, but watch Blu rays through my PS3, I also have an Xbox 360 so gaming is important to me as well.

Thanks in advance

Mainly SD viewing then I would say from the reviews the Pioneer has the better SD performance (WHF team confirm this please?).

I think the biggies would be size and screen coating. Sony is more matte whereas Pioneer have a more reflective shiny screen...

Thanks for that, planning on going out today to see both in action, really hacked off about the panasonic though as it was a great TV other than the sound issue.
