Hi,

I am tempted to purchase this player. Main use wouldn't actually be with blu-ray video discs and 3D really not an issue. Rather, I would more often use this player for videos and movies using usb port and to play SACD and blu-ray audio discs in stereo. Also the wi-fi option is very tempting.

I would really appreciate your advice on these questions:

- would it be playing movies (also hires) using USB better quality than using my Western Digital HDTV?

- how would be the sonic performance with SACD and blu-ray audio in stereo?

I am pleased with mine with SACD and BD discs. Dependant on other kit too ofcourse. For CDs etc I am (now) using digital coax (optical or phono are also options. Just playing with DD v PCM as earlier posting. WHF suggest the next model up is a bigger leap from my old S350. No regrets tho'.

I use a media player (Seagate Theatre) so never from USB sorry
