Amazon are selling for £215.31, with a special offer of 3 films for free (hancock, mama mia, wallE). I've been told on another post that the S550 (as with S350) always comes with the Casino Royale and Batman Begins discs by claiming them upon registering the blu-ray player - BUT most sites don't seem to mention those 2 films as being free when promoting the S550.

I'm this close to buying one! the 3 free disc offer on Amazon ends 31 January so my head is saying wait to see if the price drops a little more on Amazon before taking the plunge - by "head" i mean the missus!!!

That is interesting as when I looked on Amazon recently it was more expensive. Damn these deals are changing all the time. I would like this player, so your info is very welcome.

If you get the additional films then it is a real tempting offer. It would seem that the Casino Royale/Batman Begins are send aways, whilst the other films are put in the box. So off to check out Amazon again. Thanks.

Well, following your Amazon details I have taken the plunge and bought the S550 with disc bundle. The good thing is that I would have purchased all of the films except Mama Mia, so for me it's a great deal.

I to have got the BDP-S550 from Amazon and received mine yesterday. Not tried it yet has still sorting out my room but i can't find any mention of Casino Royale or Batman Begins free by redemption. Hope this helps if you receive your Highway and you get them 2 free let us all know how!!! Thanks

Hi. You shuold have a CD in the box which yuo use for online registration of the product. During this process you will be informed about your 2 free discs. Sony say allow up to 28 days for delivery, mine came in 9. Think you have to register b4 the 31st of Jan but don't quote me on that. Hope this helps.

No, not received mine yet. They have not despatched it, but have despatched the discs !!

I was given a delivery date of 18th December, so I am not expecting it as yet.

Will let you all know what I think and answer your questions when I get it.

I'm pretty sure you have to register by the 15th Jan to recieve B.B & C.R.

Can I ask what versions of of the redemption Blu-Rays were sent? Single disc editions I assume but hopefully packaged/sealed individually. Also, are they UK retail versions with UK certification labelling?

BTW, I took the plunge and got the S350 from amazon with the free 3 Blu-ray promotion pack (+ 2 by registration). It's worth pointing out that you can also combine this deal with another Sony promotion (ends on 24/12) by selecting any 3 sony discs (DVDs, Blu-Rays, CDs, games) from this page http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/feature.html?ie=UTF8&plgroup=2&docId=1000244643 for a further £15 off the player. I did this when the player was £154 and selected 3 copies of the cheapest DVD@£2.47. Result - BDP-S350 + 5 Blu-Rays + 3 DVDs for £147!

Updated firmware and multi-region hacked the DVD - I am delighted
