Sony BDP-S370 Blu Ray Player Problem

Friends,

i am facing a strange problem, whenever i play a DVD in this player the video is clear, but whenever i try a blu ray disc, it shows red lines on the whole screen, i thought the BD Disc is faulty but i checked that disc on my PS3 and all is fine. So what would be the problem in playing BD in the S370 Player.

Whats your make and model of tv? Might be a compatability problem

Basic questions I know, but what TV do you have? Are you trying to introduce a 1080p image to a 1080i TV? Or have you tried another HDMI lead? or are you sending a 24fps image to a 18080p TV that's not compatible?
