Sony BDP-S350 on standard def dvds...

I'm going to be buying the BDP-s350 blu ray player, How will the quality be on standard def. dvds?

yeah, i presume the upscaling will result in a better picture than i get from my current standard def recorder ( phillips dvdr3305 )

Until last night I had only watched Blu-rays on the s350. The missus rented "Defiance" on DVD and the upscaled performance was magnificent, excellent true story, superb cinematography and sound effects. For the money you can pick this player up for now, you could do much worse, a bit of a no brainer really, go for it!
