A Primare CD32 has been ‘dropped-off’ for evaluation tonight – to show me the potential of my recently acquired (pre-owned) Raymond Lumley Model M75 Valve Monoblocks – by a very crafty dealer, Jon at Doug Brady Hifi. What a cracking CD Player – such imaging, timing, detail and a rock solid bass! Alas, the £2k price tag is somewhat beyond me! #annoyed

I'm quite enjoying he Primare stuff at the moment, including the integrated amplifiers. Quite interested in hearing the pre-amp at some point too.

Well, after the initial euphoria...the dust has settled! The Primare is detailed...in point of fact, very! However, it is cold; clinical, almost austere...where is the 'music'? And it is, after all, about the 'music'!

It'll be going back! The quest continues!
