I am about to move to a smaller house with an odd shaped living room and will have no room for speaker stands.

Are there any good options for discrete speakers less than 25 cm high that can be wall mounted or as a last resort put on a shelf. My budget is up to £650.

Current system, Micromega stage 3, audiolab 8000A & 8000P, B&W CDM1

Sonus Faber Toys. You'd probably need a subwoofer, though.

Hi Niklawson,

How's the Micromega, I've still got the Stage 4 and have recently sold the SE version of your CDM1 speakers.

The Micromega is still great but I have to have the drawer mechanism relubricated every couple of years or it starts to groan. The CDM1s are still going strong and haven't needed any work so far. The audiolabs needed new terminals a year ago but seem ok now. I'm hoping everything keeps going for a few years yet as I hate to think what it would cost to get something comparable now.

If you can get a pair, the Quadral Pico was apparently a very fine sounding little speaker. Think I'd be hunting down a pair of AVI Neutrons though...expect to spend around £250-300 or so.
