SKY HD - PURE OR UPSCALED?

Could someone tell me if SKY HD outputs pure 1080p or does it upscale from terrestrial.

My guess is that for the sole HD channels (4 is it?) it outputs pure 1080i

and for all the others it upscales to 1080i prior to sending via HDMI to TV.

Please someone confirm or deny my thoughts! Got a Full HD TV, want to use it!

There are more channels than four these days... and indeed Channel 4 itself going HD in December!

The Sky box can output at 720p or 1080i, showing the HD content at its native resolution (which is all 1080i to date) and upscaling everything else to suit your HD set. There's no 1080p involved....
