Sky HD picture aspect

Just had Sky HD installed...TV is Panasonic TX 32LXD500. I cannot get the picture to fill the screen on certain movie or other channels. Sky is set to 16.9 but aspect control on TV remote does not work when Sky turned on so I cant alter the picture size. Is this normal? Have I got to put up with the black bars or is there something I can do?

This sounds odd. My Panasonic allows aspect control of the sky picture. How is the sky box connected to the TV? I think it needs to be a SCART connection via the AV2 socket.

Sky HD should surely be connected via HDMI?

Yes...it is connected via HDMI

Sorry - not paying attention. I can still do aspect control OK on HDMI as well.
