sky hd and the onkyo 875 or 905

what would happen if you ran sky hd through the recievers reon chip set to output at 1080p? Has anyone tried it? Is there any improvement, also will it do a better job of scalling than a denon 1930 dvd player. If so should you connect the denon via hdmi and set it to 480p578i or use the component output

This is an interesting question and one I would like answered also as I am about to buy the 875 I think.

Hope you dont mind me piggybacking but I dont know how to subscribe to threads in this forum software - seems rather limited or at the least, not easy to follow

I set the Sky box to Auto and then use the 905 to upscale to 1080p. I think that the picture looks better. The SD benefits the most (obviously).

I don't know about the DVD player as I use an EP35 and get that to upscale.
