Should I upgrade speakers ?

Hi, System is as follows Cyrus CD8se, Cyrus 8vs, Dynaudio 52 SE. (A System which was highly regarded a few short years ago)

I have recently added a pair of Cyrus 8 power amps in mono mode. (This has made a big difference) . Do you guys think that the Dynaudios are letting the side down now ? and if so, what speakers would you recommend to match my system ?

I think it sound great! but do you think spending a couple of grand on new speakers will improve things significantly ?

Those are excellent speakers and I suspect you'd need to spend quite a lot to improve on them. Having head those and the Dynaudio Focus 110 on a Cyrus 8 integrated (and other amps) I'm not convinced the upgrade is worth the outlay (you might be though!). If it were me, I'd be trying the XPower and or MonoX amps to improve the sound.

EDIT Of course, there's another forum out there that specialises in Cyrus kit that may be a good source of info.

i'd be looking at either replacing the 8vs with a proper pre amp or add a psxr to the 8vs which only affects the pre amp stage and will make a huge difference in your configuration
