Should I replace my needle?

I accidentally knocked my needle out of position, it was hanging down almost 90° to the cartridge. I put it back into position, but it doesn't quite sit in its original position, veers off slightly to the left. It still seems to sound OK to me but I have only been able to play it at low volumes. Do you think I should replace the needle?

For piece of mind purposes, yes - the damage you can cause records with a broken stylus is horrific and yet the sound will only be slightly different first play. Unless you are using a £1k + MC or something, I would say yes.

IMO definitely yes as it is the cantilever that should be aligned with the records' grooves when setting up a TT, not the cart's body.
