Should I buy LCD or Plasma ? WHF Please Help !

I'm going to purchase a 42" TV but can't decide whether to get a Plasma screen or Lcd. I currently have sky+ but will soon have skyHD. Also I have a PS3 which I use quite a lot for gaming and Blu-ray. I've narrowed my choice down to these to tvs - Panasonic 42pz70 and Toshiba 42z3030. The Panasonic appeals to me most but I wonder if LCD would be better for gaming. I currently use 32" Samsung r73 and am quite happy with it so I could save £200 off the cost of the above tvs and just buy a Samsung 40" m86. So many choices, my head hurts, please help !

How far are you sitting from the screen?

about 3m maybe a bit less.

Go with the Panasonic - not only is it the superior set, but the motion-handling and contrast will suit gaming to a tee. A superb set.

Thanks for the advice Clare and hifi_nut, I'll be ordering the Panny tomorrow and I'll let you know what I think about it in a week or so. I'm sure I'm going to love it though !
