I have a few components of a Teac Reference 500 that I no longer need (Sonos).

normally I give my unwanted stuff to Oxfam and whilst there is a relatively local branch that sells hifi, music etc I assume it wouldn't maximise its value.

any advice on what to do - where to sell etc? The money will be donated to them or to a local charity.

thanks

I've always sold my old components on eBay, if you start the auction with a 99p starting bid and offer postage in my experience I've always received very good prices, even if circa 20% goes to ebay

Cash Converters is quick and fairly easy if you have near you but probably not the best price but no selling fees and hassle. Then just give the money to your nominated charity.

Gumtree is owned by eBay. Don't go for the premium stuff and it's free. No comeback though on sales. Go through eBay and PayPal (also owned by eBay) and you get more seller rights, though it is 10% fees plus 3.5% PayPal, not the 20% quoted previously. However, a massive viewing base. Hope this helps. :)
