I'm serious about the cables. I'd use really thick ones for this comparison. 4mm and up.

Well, I have chord silver screen. I'm not sure how thick it is, but it doesn't look 4mm. Any idea how thick these are? I'm not sure what burnsie has.

That Chord is probably 2.5mm sq.

Get min 4mm coper cable. I also had silver screen or something along that line and the difference when i switched to thick 6mm 500 strand ofc was impressive (imo)

And tbh i was prepared to spend 50 bucks per meter for 'special cable'

Same here. I jumped from 2.5 to 6.0 and it was like discovering a whole new bottom octave. But if I did this on speakers that don't go very low I might not feel any difference at all.

Fit it to your existing set up first. I. Sure you will notice an improvement

I'd gladly use that one. Just make sure it is terminated with spades or banana plugs because 6mm bare wire will not fit in your standard speaker terminals (amp or speaker side).

Yeah that scenario does bother me a bit. We'll just have to see.

I use this version of the Van Damme 4mm , it is more flexible and better looking imo .

Cool, but now we are getting into a whole load of unknowns for me as I have always had bare wire into terminals. Could I ask what grade of plugs do I need, where is a good place to get them,is there a recommended technique for applying plugs (for best sound), and will my local shop be a good place to do all this?
