To be precise: is it a viable upgrade option to stick a Tabriz Zi arm and a Ortofon Red Cadenza cart on my Radius deck?

At some stage in the future I intend to swap the deck itself for a Xerzes 20 plus, but can't afford to it all at once.

My local dealer suggested the arm/cart upgrade first. Is this bonkers? He can do it for a decent price, he says!!!! Yeah, yeah.

I would say it is a sound idea. I had the bog-standard Tabriz fitted to my Radius when I had it.

The Tabriz will go very well with the Xerxes at a later date.

I assume you currently have the Nema arm attached, flog them both when you can afford the Xerxes.

Yes, I currently have the Nima arm and the Goldring cartridge. They will hopefully fund some of the upgrade.
