Hello Guys.

As you may notice RS is making a great price on this receiver.

Though after searching everywere i couldn't find useful info nor any kind of review on this amp.

The only thing I know is that it is really good looking and it has 2 HDMI ins..

Does any one know if this receiver will pass through HD sound from LPCM sources? does it upconverts all ins to HDMI?

is it any good?

We've seen the receiver on Samsung stands at trade shows etc, but they've never been keen for us to review it. It seemed to be something their dealers were requesting (so they could sell it as a pair with Samsung DVD/Blu-ray players) rather than anything Samsung had particularly put its engineering heart and soul into....

As Clare says, untested: it will only accept HD audio tracks if the player with which it's used converts them to PCM, though it will also pass through all formats to whatever it is you want to pass them through to. There's no onboard scaling or conversion, as far as I can see.
