SACD via Blueray can it be played via DacMagic without HDMI?

Please excuse my ignorance ! however I am after getting a Blueray player which plays SACDs , can I get the benefit of this via my Dac Magic without HDMI? or do I need an AV reciever ?

AV Receiver in the first instance I think. The DM won't handle the signal so you'll get upsampling but no DSD or SACD conversion.

Pleasure - it's a bit of a frustration with DACs hence the appeal for some of the better AV amps.

Indeed record spot. I may take a punt on the special 150 quid av amp from richer together with the Sony b/ray @ 99 quid! 250 for both can't lose really. Cheers
