Running in subs

Here are the questions.

1. how important is it to run in a sub

2. how can you run it in without playing stuff at high volume? Doesnt it need to throw a good bit to get run in?

3. I have a monitor Audio rxw-12 that i recevived about a week ago. It has about 20 hours of running time in maybe more, and atleast 3 hours of pretty loud playing. but i am scared to push the throw of the driver very far. Also does anyone know how far it can actually throw, it says its "long throw" and I've teased my self by cranking it up and bit and i can get it throwing like a good 1.5 inch (total throw) is that "long throw" ?

All you need to do is set it up correctly so it takes over where your main speakers fall off at the lower frequencies. Adjust the level so you can't obviously hear the sub, sit back and enjoy.

No need to worry about it, unless it doesn't sound right.
