Roth OLi 1 for family room/diner/kitchen

Poste this thread re speakers for the Denon M37DAB and moved on to whether the Roths would suit the room size viz;

Room
is about 4.25 x 4.25 m, with speakers to be wall mounted either side of
Dresser facing "in" to the room (i.e wher we listen), I like the look
and reviews of the Roths, do you reckon they will be OK for the size of
the room?

I'm not particularly
experienced at suggesting speakers for particular room sizes so would
suggest putting up a seperate post for the Roths.

I would
tentatively like to say "Yes", but please ask the experts!

hey there,

I have the Roth's oli 1 's in my bedroom, they fill that room 3 by 3.5 perfectly. They are also excellent speakers, the clarity is brilliant. I might also add that their brothers the Roth Oli 2's are also very good. and I think they come with wall mounting brackets. They are bigger though.

In my opinon you should probably go for the Oli1's as they are very good at being placed close to walls. I also think that are superb value for money and out perform many speakers in this price range.

I have just read the previous thread and these are still the best option for your requirements. There is a lot of support for the Tannoy's and Warfdales in this forum, and that is justified; however i don't think they would be suitable for your use.......and further more I personaly think the oli 1's ( even though they have less bass response) are superior speakers.

I got mine from Av Bristol.....

Thanks for the info and vote of confidence in the Roths

I agree re the Tannoys and Wharfedales but the Roths have also had their fair share of glowing reports, and they are a real treat to look at, I was just concerned re room size, but that seems not to be a real issue.
