Hi all,

Can any K2 owners out there tell me if their K2 Amp is still audible when the volume is turned right down to the lowest setting? I have had my Amp for over a year and have never noticed so I can only assume it didn't happen before. I only noticed it yesterday after I had been playing music pretty loud for a couple of hours.

Only thought it was worth asking as I had a kandy Liii that had weird volume problems.

Thanks

Yeah - I just need someone with a k2 amp to play something with the volume turned right down to see if they can hear the music.

Just tried on mine and totally silent when volume is turned all the way down.

Damn. Well, at least I know. My Liii amp screwed up with a volume problem a while back, looks like another RMA. Thanks for testing that out for me.

I bet that it sounds so much better too

Just tried it and ,yes music is audible at the very lowest setting with your head up against the speaker,Hope it`s not a sign of things to come,I had probs with a Liii as well which was replaced with the current K2,see a very lengthy thread titled faulty rokan kandy or something similar

Yeah - I have to admit i'm not overly impressed with Roksan at the moment. I bought the liii on the back of good reviews and went that went pop after 4 months it was replaced by the kandy k2 and by the looks of it this may have similar issues.

With your head up against the speaker you can hear something but it's almost nothing. I don't think it will be a problem. I know there were many problems with the LIII version but sofar I have read nothing about problems with the K2 amp.

Mine is quite audible, I don't need to put my head up against the speaker to hear it. It used to be totally silent even with my head up against the speaker. It's still quiet but obvious enough for me to notice.

Anyway, I spoke to Roksan yesterday and they were quite good about it. They said if I couldn't hear anything when it was new then I shouldn't be able to hear anything now due to the volume control being mechanical and not chip controlled. They said I should send it back in and they will repair it.

They also said that they periodically update components as the product gets more mature and whenever they get something back in for repair they will also replace/update it so it matches the latest revision. I thought that was pretty good. I'm going to get mine sent in to be fixed. They think it might be something like a leaky capactior or something.

Will update once it's sorted.
