haven't got the privilege to try them out side by side yet. both with similar power output, but i know the K2 can be integrated to an AV receiver but not the 9100.

it'll be used mostly for jazz and rock, connected to the computer via a DAC, which one do you reckon is the better bang for buck if i can get them at similar prices?

any suggestions will be apprecaited, thank you!

Hands down to the 9100?

its actually a used 9100, looks brand new but haven't got around to test it.

IMO, Plinius 9100.

I heard his big brother 9200, 3D sound with very realistic vocal sound, vocal focus is fantastic.. If I had enough money I'd buy it. I assume you would get the same house sound of Plinius if you get the 9100..

I can't comment on Roksan but recently heard plinius pre/power with large MA's. On the lean side, immensely controlled with good detail and quite forward with a lot of presence. I happened to like it and it was not dissimilar to some active speakers I've tried. Could have done with a touch of warmth but thats about it. I dont know if that helps but I guess its the plinius sound. Someone I know calls it Krell on a budget ...

If you can get a Plinius at the price of a Roksan K2, I'd like one too please!!!

i'm running 685's with a subwoofer, hopefully it provides the warmth.

What did you end up choosing?

I am assuming that it was probably the M8 pre drummerman? The M8 has quite a forward sound and is a little lean. This is quite different to both the 9200 and 9100. The 9100 will have more warmth and retain the control and presence. If you can get a 9100 at that price I would say grab it if you haven't already. You will never regret it.

I haven't heard the Roksan but I am told it will be available here in New Zealand very soon.
