you could also try maplins,currys & comet they sell speaker cable although i dont know what it may sound like.

thankyou for all your concern, it was to much tension, i moved the stereo and used some old speaker wire

And I measured how much I would need and it was about 8 meters - £70 for the cheapest I could find
