Richer Sound Buying advice....How much of a deal to expect, if any?

Hi All,

In the next few months Im planning on buying a cambridge audio Cd and Amp. With that in mind I spoted this on the RS web site...

Cambridge Audio 550A TSP £299.95
Cambridge Audio 550C TSP £279.95
Mordaunt-Short 902i TSP £149.95

All that for £599 - which is a £130 saving

So, heres my question.....Seeing as I dont want the speakers (im thinking about buying some 685s.) would it be unreasonable to ask the chaps at RS to swap the speakers for an upgrade to the amp (550-650) and throw in a 540p Phono Pre Amp, both of which would cost less then the speakers.

Would anyone think i might get away with it, are RS open to this kind of negotiation?

There is no harm in asking. I think you might get a 540P out of them, but that will probably be it.

A lot depends on how they work the system deal in terms of their margins.
