Replacing Mission 753Fs with Dali Ikon 6

Hi

I am looking to replace my Mission 753Fs for music and home cinema duties, I have been offered a pair of Dali

Ikon 6s for around £500, would this be a good replacement or not?. Is it a step up or sideways?.

Opinions would be appreciated

Sideways and possibly backwards. You'd need to have a good idea what better the Dali's would offer the Missions. The 753s were pretty special, so I'd be more inclined to improve on the amp first.

Listen to the Dalis and see what you think. I think they are incredible.

Crazy isn't it?! Absolutely, try them out. It might be they work well, and Dali do make some fine speakers. But then, those 753s will handle many an upgrade and compare them to speakers not costing £600-£700 now, but rather in the £1500 bracket I'd suggest...
