Rega Exact afternoise

Last year bought a Rega RP6 with an Exact cartridge. The turntable is really good but the Exact is the opposite. Has a strange crackling and then popping sound when lifting off the record. Had it back to the Rega agents who said they where surprised by the sound on testing but that this was normal. Replaced the cartridge with a Sumiko Blackbird and an incredible difference. What is it with the Rega cartridge ? Sounds good but they should sort this out !

The slight pop you hear when you lift any Rega cartrdige off the record is perfectly natural and reflects the design of the cartridges pole piece.
