rega brio-r volume knob

Hi, I've reveived my rega brio-r today. From first few minutes it became clear that it sounds better than my current amp, especially on low volume.

Hovewer, I've noticed that volume knob is a bit 'wobbly', i.e. I can lift it up by a few mm... is this normal or do I have a faulty unit?

Just checked mine , it's "wobbly" too about 1mm but it looks ok to me .

thanks! on mine I can move it up (without forcing) by 3 mm for sure... strange, never seen such potentiometer before...

seems to be no issue with the sound, but still wondering...

will probably check with dealer on Monday. Remote control is also troubling me - works once in a while...

Check with your dealer for sure , I am on my 3th unit but this one looks and sounds ok 🙂

I've called the shop where I bought it. They said I can return the unit back to them, they will forward it to the distributor. So probably they will 'fix it if needed' and return back. Now I'm actually having second thoughts... if I'm not going to get less operational unit back with all the postage uncertainties 🙂

since it sounds ok, maybe there is no issue and volume knob is supposed to be like that?

Could you confirm a few more things:

- if you have a clearly audible thump during power up. My speakers 'move' quite a bit when I turn the amp on;

- if the remote control buttons are a bit hard to operate: I have to press quite hard to get the function activated.

Yes I can confirm both things you have mentioned , the same is happening with my brio r , All amps do that impuls when you switch them on , and remote is new give it some time I think your amp is ok .
