Recommended speaker stands for a budget hi-fi

I've reserved a hi-fi system at Richer Sounds - CA 540 amp and CD, Wharfedale Diamond 9.1 speakers. Trouble is, I was going to get the recommended Soundstyle Z2 speaker stands, but RS were out of stock. I've been waiting two weeks now, and there's still no sign of stock - I'm beginning to get impatient! Does anyone have a pair of budget stands to recommend? RS sell the Gale T50 - will they do, or should I hang on for the Z2?

Hang on for the Z2 or get some Atacama Nexus 6s. You can't beat these two stands at this price range.

Or go make them yourself, only some mdf, glue and sand are needed

Make a hollow pilar with a bottem and top plate.

Cut them in the shop, glue them, and fill them with a lot of sand for ridgetness and resonance.

Spikes are easaly made with srews, it saves money for someting else.

I second the Atacama Nexus 6.

I had them supporting a pair of MA Bronze BR1's for a couple of years and very good they were too.

The Z2s are good, solid no-nonsense stands and worth holding on for. That said, if RS are dragging their heels, see if you can source them somewhere else locally and cancel the order. My local RS were also out of stock when I tried to buy them, so I went elsewhere.

Atacama Nexus 6's all the way for me too 🙂

Some good deals can be had on eBay also. Theyre best when loaded with atabites as well.

i,ve got the 9.1 s on nexus 6,s I would recommend them,not much out there better in their price range.
