Rear speaker cable run problem

I am in the process of buying a surround sound system. The thing that is causing me the most problem is that because of the particular layout of the room that the system is going into the rear speaker cable run will be 8m and 13m (the longer run has to go round a door frame). My question is will the difference in cable length be a problem and if so does that mean that I will have to run equal lengths, which will mean upto 5m of cable tucked behind the shorter run speaker, which is not ideal, any thoughts on this matter would be appreciated.

The different lengths will be fine. The delay in the signal will be minuscule, and in any event can be compensated for by your receiver.

much appreciated, just to let you know the system I am putting together is the Yamaha rx-v773 with Monitor Audio Mass speakers.
