The 1062 was rated as very powerful for its 60W how does the 06 compare? I'm wanting to drive 200W 6ohm 89dB speakers, would the RA-1070 be a safer (more expensive) bet? Any advice on sound differences welcome. Thanks

The 1062 is my fav rotal because of it has enough power to drive most real world speakers without problem (ignor the lowish power rate, it sound a lot more powerful than that!).

What specific speakers are you using? I have Wharfedales with the same specs and I think the 1062 would be great as thaiman said but the 06 would do the job pretty well too. The NAD packs an even bigger punch however, but a little slow on the timing front...not what you want if you are using floorstanders in a small room.

Thanks guys
The speakers are Jamo C 809 & the CDP is the Marantz CD6002.
NAD is sold out & Rotel is the only affordable option at the moment (new only). What HiFi recommends a lean fast amp for these speakers, would the 1062 best suit this criteria?
I think the 1070 is a bit smooth & the 06 highlights the upper mid band a bit.?
Opinions welcomed.
