I've been looking at CD players, over the past few days, to be partnered with an old Yamaha A-550 amp & a pair of Epos M5i's.
After looking at players that would have stretched the original budget of £150 - £200, I've sort of settled on either a Cambridge Audio 640C V1/V2 or a Marantz CD6002.
l do however, have the opportunity to consider an Arcam 72. Though l don't want a cold clinical sound l certainly don't want something that is too warm or lush.
l know it's difficult to make an informed decision, due to the age of the Yamaha amp, but what do people think?
