Question for Clare - Onkyo 875

I seem to remember someone (or yourself) mentioning you had an Onkyo 875, and I distinctly remember you saying you had a HD projector. I was just wondering if you also have a TV, and if so how do you switch the video between your tv and projector?

I know the 905 has 2 HDMI outs, just wondering if there's some function in the 875 to do obtain the same (or similar) end result?

I think Clare has a 905, and I think she only has a projector, not a TV too.

Ah well, worth a shot. I thought there was a fancy way of switching screens without a 905 or swapping the HDMI lead round.

Only a project, nice for some! 🙂

Any news on the 876? I was told by some dealers to expect it sometime in September but given that there is still no official announcement, I'm not holding my breath...

I too wondered about this. I thought maybe that Thor 2 way thingy would work or but others are not so sure.
Is there anything similar out there that anyone know would work, I have been over this with the Prof but just thought maybe Andrew or Clare might know?

We haven't tested it, but something like this would seem to do the job.

Just had a brain wave regarding the hdmi splitters. If you have v1.3a equipment would you need a v1.3a certified switcher so you wouldn't loose any of the functions ?
