qed performance optical vs qed reference optical

i have the qed performance optical for connection between my cd player and my minidisc.

both machines are old but around the £600 mark each so fairly decent.

i can only connect through optical to put my cd`s on minidisc.

the performance was £30 but i can now get the reference for £50 .

is it worth it for the better sound quality?

I recommend the Chord Optical lead - Opticord. Not done a direct comparison with the QED, but it is very good as I have a revealing system.
