Q Acoustic 1000ST Fill with sand????

I have the 1000ST stands with the 1020's on them what difference if any would I hear if I filled the stands with sand?

Can't say with those particular speakers, but filling my Nexus 6 stands helped my 685s. Just make sure you get kiln dried sand - this helps prevent moisture getting into them and rusting your stands, though if you are in a humid environment you would be better with Atacama Atabites. I believe B&Q are doing kiln dried sand at about £3 - £4.
