Just been redecorating and gf wanted me to get rid of my rear speakers so just agreed to compromie on these to be mounted on my skirting boards although the rear channel will be more to both sides than back then the 7.1 right at the back of the room - anyone any thoughts on these if set to small in conjuction with my rel b2 sub I am hoping they will fill the room with ample noise!!!!

I've got these as part of a QAV package. They were bigger than I expected and personally I wouldn't put them along skirting - I have mine along the coving. I can't really comment on how well they will blend with the rest of your setup. My opinion of them? They're a style speaker so inevitably there are some compromises compared to other speakers at the same price point but I've been happy enough with the performance of them to date

hi cram - thanks for your response why wouldn't you recommend them for skirting mounting?

my sofa will be a good 1m away from the backs and 2m away from the rears so the sound won't be blocked

I just thought they were a bit big to put on the skirting and in my particular position with 2 small children in the house this was a no go. I'd get the measurements if I were you and check whether that is acceptable. I also wasn't convinced about having them behind a sofa, can't believe that this wouldn't have some impact on sound - though I didn't test this.

I have these as my rears and they integrate really well with the rest of my system and produce a great sound. I have them along the skirting and would certainly recommend them.

do you have the rest of the qav system or different cen/fronts - i just wanted some smallish white boxes that can go on skirting boards and be as little invasive to the rest of the room as possible - also hoping for big things from 7.1 never even heard a 7.1 in someones home so will be good to have a play - can you confirm the frquency range on these - read somewhere 60hz upwards just helps me with the crosssover settings!!!!

Its all Q Acoustics I have with 1020i fronts and the 1000ci centre. Checked the settings on my amp and the rears are set at 60hz. Don't think you'll be disappointed with them, they produce a great sound, are a good price, are well made and unobtrusive. In fact I've had to point out to people they were actually there.
