PS3 pcm sound settings

Please help someone must have the answer to this! Taken delivery of my lovely new Sony STRDG820 receiver this week and hooked it up to my PS3 and Sony 32" HDTV and am very happy with the amp after having an old Denon for a while now, the problem i've come across is in the sound settings for PS3. Now that i'm connecting via HDMI there is a vast array of different sound settings that come up in the PS3 menu, should i select every option or are there specific boxes i should tick to get the right setting?? My receiver is able to decode HD sound on board so i'm anxious to get the settings right to experience the best sound quality i can on my system, any help would be much appreciated as i've drawn a blank up to now....
